Convergence Rate of Accelerated Average Consensus with Local Node Memory: Optimization and Analytic Solutions

چکیده
Previous researches have shown that adding local memory can accelerate the consensus. It is natural to question what fastest rate achievable by $M$ -tap acceleration, and are corresponding control parameters. This paper introduces a set of effective previously unused techniques analyze convergence accelerated consensus with nodes design protocols. These techniques, including Kharitonov stability theorem, Routh criterion robust margin, led following new results: 1) direct link between parameters; 2) explicit formulas optimal parameters for notation="LaTeX">$M \leq 2$ on given graph; 3) analytic worst-case \geq 1$ uncertain graphs. We show acceleration notation="LaTeX">$M=1$ provides in sense performance. Several numerical examples demonstrate validity performance theoretical results.

On the convergence of weighted-average consensus
In this note we give sufficient conditions for the convergence of the iterative algorithm called weighted-average consensus in directed graphs. We study the discrete-time form of this algorithm. We use standard techniques from matrix theory to prove the main result. As a particular case one can obtain well-known results for non-weighted average consensus. We also give a corollary for undirected...
متن کاملSaturation-tolerant average consensus with controllable rates of convergence
This paper considers the static average consensus problem for a multi-agent system and proposes a distributed algorithm that enables individual agents to set their own rate of convergence. The algorithm has a two-time scale structure and is constructed using a singular perturbation approach. A fast information processing state uses a Laplacian consensus strategy to calculate the agreement value...
متن کاملRates of Convergence for Distributed Average Consensus with Probabilistic Quantization
Probabilistically quantized distributed averaging (PQDA) is a fully decentralized algorithm for performing average consensus in a network with finite-rate links. At each iteration, nodes exchange quantized messages with their immediate neighbors. Then each node locally computes a weighted average of the messages it received, quantizes this new value using a randomized quantization scheme, and t...
متن کاملConvergence rate for consensus with delays
We study the problem of reaching a consensus in the values of a distributed system of agents with time-varying connectivity in the presence of delays. We consider a widely studied consensus algorithm, in which at each time step, every agent forms a weighted average of its own value with values received from the neighboring agents. We study an asynchronous operation of this algorithm using delay...
متن کاملAnalytic solutions for the Stephen's inverse problem with local boundary conditions including Elliptic and hyperbolic equations
In this paper, two inverse problems of Stephen kind with local (Dirichlet) boundary conditions are investigated. In the first problem only a part of boundary is unknown and in the second problem, the whole of boundary is unknown. For the both of problems, at first, analytic expressions for unknown boundary are presented, then by using these analytic expressions for unknown boundaries and bounda...
